Hi, My name is Phoenix!

There is a $75 adoption/rehoming fee. All supplies will be included.

I am a very handsome purebred Boxer with a heart of gold. I am a big boy at 85 pounds, and am just 7 years young. I am such a sweet, devoted boy. I love to play with my toys – especially my Kong, which I take everywhere with me – it’s my prized possession!

I am a gentle cuddle-bunny. I love people and am a very considerate boy. I am well behaved, perfectly house broken and crate trained, too.

My owner is having to move to a new state and into a place where dogs like me are not allowed. She loves me so much, and is so sad to have to look for a new home for me. Unfortunately, taking me with her is just not an option.

She is dearly hoping to find me a loving, forever home with people who will cherish me as much as she does. I need to be the only dog in the home, and would be best with older, well behaved kids – or adults only.

Health wise, I do have allergies which are well controlled with my special food. I also have a slight heart murmur, but as long as I don’t get too much activity, I am just fine.

Please offer me the loving home I need and deserve. I can’t wait to meet my new family.

Love and Licks,

He is so sweet to me and my teenaged girls. He loves to play frisbee but destroys toys quickly by chewing them up. His favorite toy is the kong which he carriers around like a pacifier. The vet and groomers always comment about what a sweet boy he is. He likes to play but can’t for very long due to his mild heart murmur.

He sleeps in bed with me and lays as close to me as possible. He’s very gentle and tries not to hurt me when stepping into bed. He follows me everywhere and it’s very intelligent.

I am moving to another state.

About Knoxville Find My Pet A Home

About Our Rescue Group...

We help pet owners safely and effectively rehome their pets when they are no longer able to care for them.
We help keep family pets out of shelters and rescues by giving owners the tools they need to effectively find responsible new families to care for their pet.

In many locations throughout the USA and Canada, shelters are rescues are filled to capacity, leaving pet owners who can no longer care for their pet with nowhere to turn. Many pets are needlessly being euthanized.

Being placed in a shelter is a very stressful experience for all pets - and their owners. We offer a very good alternative, allowing pets to stay in the loving care of their owners while a new home is located for them.

We have helped many pet owners in need to place their pet in a home where they have great peace of mind in knowing that their pet is being cherished, well cared for and kept safe, happy and healthy.

Come Meet Our Pets...

In most instances, our pets stay with their owners until a new home can be located. There are some situations which require a more urgent placement, and in these instances, we look for loving foster homes to care for these pets until a permanent home can be located.

Our Adoption Process...

When a pet is placed with our organization, our staff create a very honest and compelling adoption story about the pet, using the information provided to us.

We then spread the word about this pet's need for a new home through a wide variety of online services, and through local outreach.

Interested parties are directed to fill out a formal request to meet a pet, providing in-depth information about themselves.

Before a potential adopter is introduced to a pet, we do careful reference screening and a criminal records check.

Should the pet's owner and the adoptive party agree to an adoption, a formal agreement is entered into, requiring the new owner to agree to keep in touch, ensure the pet's physical and emotional well-being, and provide a safe, happy and healthy home.

They are required to agree that they will not surrender the pet to a shelter or give away the pet - but rather they are to contact our organization so that we can find another suitable home, in the event that they are unable to fulfill their commitment.

The owners deliver the pet to the new owners, so that they can do a home inspection prior to leaving the pet in the new owner's care.

Our organization provides follow-up services, contacting the new owners after the first week, and then every 45 days for the first nine months post-adoption. This helps ensure the pet is being well cared for, and that the new owners have any support they need in adjusting to life with their new companion,
