Winston's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Winston's Story...
As the famous Winston Churchill said, “Never, never, never give up!” Our little Winston is doing just that. He was adopted out of animal control in April to an owner, who decided he didn’t want the responsibility of a dog after four months. Instead of letting this handsome fellow be returned to animal control, we decided we would help him on his mission of finding a new home. Winston is a 7 year old Chihuahua Pug mix (aka a Chug!) He loves other dogs and people. He needs to find a place to call his forever home.

**All Compassion in Action dogs must be adopted to families willing to have their pets be a part of their family and must be allowed inside—especially at night. No dog is allowed to be put on a “tie-out” or chain outside and should be walked on a leash when not in a fenced yard.

**All Compassion in Action dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations prior to adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winston, a Hagerstown Pug/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Chihuahua for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Pug/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Chihuahua breeders who help with Pug/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
