Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi Everyone!
I am one of the lucky Louisiana Flood Survivors.
Fleur is approximately a year old rat terrier mix. Fleur is a high energy and strong willed girl, she does really well with children and adults and has made lots of friends in her new home. She loves daily exercise and walks best with a harness. When she encounters another dog while walking she is interested and will vocalize this curiosity but is not aggressive. She is being fostered in a home with two small dogs. She gets along well with her fur family but needs to be reminded to play gentle, she responds well to correction. She is spayed, healthy, house trained and crate trained. She enjoys being silly with a good squeaky toy and a bowl of food. She is cooperative in the bath. Her favorite thing is to cuddle with her humans. With a bound she will climb into a lap and playfully ask to be pet. She will need an active home and people that can give her lots of love and attention. With soulful brown eyes and a tail in full wag she will easily become part of your family.
My family could no longer keep me during these horrible times as they did not know where they were going to end up and there were not very many options for me. My family thought it was best to get me to safety and I would be one less thing for them to worry about. I have seen more in the last 2 weeks than any puppy should ever have to. I am glad to have been rescued but I feel terrible for my friends and family who are still in Louisiana. My rescue has been partnered with another great resuce and they have delivered more food, supplies and necessities than I can even list and they are continuing their effort until my friends and family are back on their feet.
Please pray for the victims of Louisiana!
I am already fixed, current on vaccinations, microchipped, fecal and heartworm tested (and treated as necessary) if age appropriate, flea and tick prevention treatment, dental if recommended by our vet and a complimentary vet visit at one of our partner vets. What more could a new family ask for?
