Roxy's Story...
Hi my name is Roxy I am a 9 year old Border Collie mix that was an owner surrender to the Animal Welfare League in Chicago with my brother Remy. No fault of our own our owner could no longer take care of us. Don't let my age fool you I am such a silly loving girl I feel like I am 5 and holding (in my eyes). My brother and I are really good pups that just love everybody we get along with dogs, kids, and cats what more can you ask for. Because we have lived together our whole lives we will be adopted out as a bonded pair. We are housebroken don't need crates completely vetted and ready to find our second chance to a forever home. Our 1 Christmas wish is to find our own forever family, we love our foster family and all the pups we get to play with but every night we go to bed and wish for our very own family again.

If you are interested in meeting me please submit an application-you can find on our website www.atailof4paws.org or contact us at 855-630-7297 or email at rescue@atailof4paws.org. Our fee includes my spay, rabies, distemper, heartworm check, fecal check, microchip.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxy, a Romeoville Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Romeoville, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Romeoville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Romeoville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Romeoville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Romeoville paves the way for another one to be saved.
