Pete's Story...
My name is Pete and I am really packing the fun. I came from a small shelter in Louisianna. I was the shelter favorite, but even for the best of us, the clock ticks down.

Lucky for me, Homeward Bound spotted me. I couldn’t believe my good luck, and now, here I am, with my foster family in Ft. Worth.
I am big fun in a small package. I weigh about 13 pounds, but I sure have a lot going for me.
I am outgoing and well adjusted. I love interactive games like fetch, and playing with other dogs, even the big ones.
I am housetrained, leash trained and crate trained. I lOVE going for walks and playing with my toys.
I am hoping to find an active family to call my own. If you’re that family, then I am waiting for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pete, a Bedford Rat Terrier/Italian Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Italian Greyhound for sale in Bedford, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Italian Greyhound dog from a breeder in Bedford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedford paves the way for another one to be saved.
