Hi there! My name is Polly, and I’m so happy to be warm and safe this winter season. I can’t say for sure where I came from or how long I was outside on my own, but I sure am glad that I ended up in a foster home with A Tail of 4 Paws Animal Rescue. I finally have a warm bed to sleep in, a meal twice a day, and I don’t have to worry about where I’m going to hide to be safe. I think I am about 7 or 8 months old and have been fully vetted. By that I mean that I am spayed, have all of my vaccinations, am parasite free, and I am microchipped. Whew, I’ve been through the ringer with all of that stuff. Anyway, I used to be a shy girl, and sometimes I still am. My foster mom put a younger kitten in my room with me to keep me company. Wouldn’t you know it, that kitten was having a lot more fun that I was, so I watched him and learned. I never knew that toys and scratching posts could be so much fun! I watched my little kitten brother ask for attention when he wanted it, and I learned how to do that too! I like to sit on warm laps where I can get a lot of pets. I even started purring! I’d be happier in a quieter home. I can learn to like another cat, but I’m not so sure about dogs. I’ve met my foster mom’s German Shepherd, but I wasn’t too keen on that. He drooled on me! In a new environment, I would need some patience until I get myself acclimated and comfy. I will come to you when I feel safe. Then I promise to give you all the love I can forever and ever. Won’t you consider being my permanent home? I would love to keep you company. Please visit www.atailof4paws.org for more information on how to adopt me. Sincerely, Polly.
