Eddie's Story...
Hey there! The name's Eddie, what's yours?? I'm a new guy here at Animal Friends of Westmoreland, and I'm hoping to find my forever family really soon! The people here at the shelter think I might be part corgi, and am around 1 year old. I was found as a stray, so no one knows about my history.

Prior to being adopted I will be up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and will have a microchip. I would do well in a home with kids, and seem to like other dogs too. So what do you think? Am I the guy for you?? The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit me!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eddie, a Youngwood Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Corgi dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi breeders who help with Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
