KAMI

KAMI, a beautiful calico, is 6 months old. She is pictured with her soul mate KIMMY, 15 months old. They are both very outgoing and love people - they can even sit on command! She is a sock bandit and can play with a pair of bunched up socks for hours on end. At the end of the day they love to snuggle together with you and groom each other. They are both currently in foster care with hopes of having them adopted together. If you are interested in KAMI and KIMMY, please contact us at 201-945-0649 or email thecatmamma@yahoo.com to schedule an appointment.

About Bergen County Protect and Rescue

About Our Shelter...

Bergen County Protect & Rescue is a True No-Kill Animal Welfare Facility located in Cliffside Park. It was founded in 2012 by Eastern Bergen County's very own Animal Control Agency, Bergen County Humane Enforcement. The idea of creating a no-kill facility came to be when animal control officers were forced to take lost and abandoned animals to surrounding veterinarians and animals shelters with no knowledge of where their final destination would be. In most cases, the animals were treated and adopted out to loving homes while others were euthanized.

Inspired to help make a difference in the animal world today, BCP&R was created. Today, we are a 501c(3) non-profit, volunteer operated, no-kill animal shelter. We are grateful to all the rescue groups, veterinarians, shelters, volunteers and donors that helped make BCP&R what it has become today. Their guidance and support has empowered us greatly.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Animals are available for adoption 7 days (12:00pm - 5:00pm) a week from our facility. Late night Wednesdays - open till 7pm.

Special events are posted on our website and Facebook pages.

Our Adoption Process...

We have an adoption application that must be completed before adopting. We verify the information on the application and once you are approved, you may adopt from our facility. A Driver's license or state id is required. If renting, a copy of your lease or letter from your landlord may be required before approval.
