Looking for love in all the wrong places? Do you feel lonely at night or bored by day? Well, step right up and let's chat. I'm Mrs. T but don't ask me how I got that name. Frankly, you can call me whatever you want as long as you call me. I'm actually a pretty relaxed little lady, but put me in a cage while my foster Mom's around, and I'll speak my peace loudly! But that's about the only time I get so vocal. I'm mean that's like torture you know? I'm getting a little up in my years and I'm starting to fear no one will adopt me. I just can't figure it out. I'm so charming and good looking. How could anybody realistically not want to take me home? There's got to be someone who wants my loving companionship. Especially someone who wants a dog but doesn't to want to work much harder than if I was a cat. Jeez, did I just compare myself to a cat? Is this early dementia? It's just so hard trying to communicate with humans that I sometimes have to go to extremes. Really the only thing I want is to BELONG to someone; someone who can fall in love with me as I do with them. Someone to watch TV with for God's sake, is that asking too much? Please stare at my picture as I dazzle you with my eyes, drawing you in, then licking your face. Pick me, pick me. Don't let me live out my days all alone. You need me, I know you do.

Poochmatch volunteer, Lisa and founder, Lydia, spent THREE MONTHS trying to catch Mrs. T and her companion, Krosby (a.k.a. Mr. T) who were camped out at a restaurant in San Bernardino, eating whatever patrons would leave in take-out boxes. Mrs. T had a tumor on her stomach that Poochmatch has since had removed. Mrs. T is a sweet girl who is waiting for her forever home. #adoption.

If you are interested in meeting Mrs. T or any Poochmatch dog at our weekly adoption events on Saturdays at the Petsmart in Yorba Linda, CA (5521 Mirage St.) between 1-5 PM, please fill out an application from our website,, and return it via email to no later than 11 AM on Fridays. Due to the high volume of dogs and puppies in our foster homes, it is impossible to bring them all every Saturday. The only way to ensure that the dog that you are interested in will be at the adoption event is to FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee that the dog you are interested in will be at our adoption event. If you cannot make the time frame of our events, appointments can be made at another time and location solely at the discretion of the foster parent.

All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, necessary vaccinations, fecal testing and deworming. Adoption fees vary solely based on age and size.

About Poochmatch

About Our Rescue Group...

I became involved in animal rescue because of the overwhelming number of stray animals I observe in less affluent areas of Southern California. I do what I do because I enjoy connecting all the dots - full circle - in terms of rescuing dogs, getting them cleaned up, treated medically and then adopted.

Poochmatch is a small rescue group with half-a dozen volunteers. Since our founding in 2006, we have done over 2,400 dog adoptions. We are on track to do over 300 in 2016.

We'd love to have more assistance. We need help administratively from individuals with computers, digital cameras and marketing skills. Please see for more information.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Adoption events are generally held every Saturday at Petsmart in Yorba Linda (Savi Ranch) 5521 Mirage Street from noon to 4 pm. To confirm we will be holding an adoption event, call Lydia at 714-241-9765.

Our Adoption Process...

We do not have a facility. Our dogs are in foster homes with volunteers.

All prospective adopters must complete and adoption application. Upon receipt and review (usually within 24 hours), a mutually agreeable appointment date, time and place will be scheduled. Prospective adopters must be receptive to a home check, sign an adoption contract and provide an adoption donation sufficient to cover the cost of spay/neuter, vaccinations and a microchip. The adoption fee for young or adult dogs is generally $225 - $275. The adoption fee for puppies varies from $325 to $425. The adoption fee always includes the cost of spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo & Bordetella), De-worming and Fecal Testing.
