Harley's Story...
DOB 4/14/16
Calling all big dog lover families! I'm Harley and everyone who meets me says I have the most adorable ears they have ever seen! I was rescued from Kentucky, after being dumped at a high kill shelter. My breed guess is Lab/Hound Mix. Being a 62 lb. goofball, I still think I am a lap dog and LOVE attention from everyone. Always being up for playing with a ball or a game of fetch, I would love a active family that likes to play.

My foster mom says I am really smart and catch on to training quickly. Since I already know 'sit' and 'no', I agree! I have mastered walking on a leash, and would make a great walking companion. I am a typical active puppy, and would really enjoy another playful dog in my new home. I would also love a fenced yard since I have a hard time staying within my boundaries. I will need someone with dog experience that will spend the time to continue my training and socialization.

If you think that you would like to meet me and see what a great pup I am, please go to www.alwaysroom4morepaws.com for adoption information and to fill out an application. Thank you for your interest in adopting!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a Elgin Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Elgin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Elgin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elgin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elgin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elgin paves the way for another one to be saved.
