Glenda's Story...
My name is Glenda Good Witch from the Wizard of Oz. I am a beautifully marked torbie or patched tabby. This means that I have patches of caramel mixed in with my gray tabby markings. I get along great with other kitties and even the dog in my foster home!
I am in need of a forever home. You see, I was rescued from a dangerous place where coyotes and owls live and hunt. I was very afraid, but a nice lady with Buster's Friends heard about me and took me home with her. I love to play and sure would like to be someone's best friend. Maybe that's with you?
Glenda is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. Her adoption fee is $125 for kittens 9 months old and younger, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Glenda, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Glenda, a Houston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
