Baby's Story...
NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this pet personally. Meet this pet at the Department of Animal Services, 2481 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad, 92011.

Baby is a 3-year old, spayed blue with white Pit Bull Terrier mix who weighs 43 lbs. She is extremely lovable, thrilled with belly rubs, sits and listens, and walks well on leash. She is a strong girl, but she is soft as velvet and loves to be petted. She really enjoys fetching the ball. She is treat motivated and loves to please. She gets along well with other dogs when she is Introduced properly, but can be dog selective, so might do best as the only dog in the house, but it would definitely depend on the other dog.

Meet this pet at County of San Diego Department of Animal Services, 2481 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad 92011. Open Tuesdays - Saturdays, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm. Closed Sundays, Mondays and holidays. SPECIAL NOTE: The shelters are now open on Sundays from 9:30 am - 5:30 pm on a trial basis from October 23, 2016 through January 22, 2017.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby, a Vista Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Vista, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
