Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lucas here and I am totally bamboozled. At 13 years old I have spent my life as a stud producing puppies that sold for a lot of money – cute, clean, roly-poly puppies. Now, here I sit abandoned, stinky, and totally dejected. Twelve of us were taken in by Animatch because our human could not take care of us. I can’t complain though, the people at Animatch have been so kind to me. Out of all the dogs, I am the most timid and fearful; at first when people reached for me, I tried to snap. My Poodle brothers and sisters told me to get a grip – the humans were only trying to help. I know that once I am in a home and feel secure, I will be an adorable, senior gentleman of simple needs and few demands. There will be no chewed shoes or table legs; I don’t have enough teeth left for that! I may need some work on toilet training; although I am clean in my crate, I do enjoy marking my territory. Apparently, it is not easy to find a home for senior dogs but I’m hoping a caring human sees past the clouded eyes, grey muzzle, and lack of teeth – I could be a wonderful companion to someone. If you feel that you can give me a comfortable place to live for whatever time I have left, I’d love to hear from you. Please fill in the Adoption Form and ask for Lucas or one of my Poodle pals.
