Cashew aka Cash's Story...
5 lbs ~ 2 years old.
Hi, my name is Cashew! I'm a fairly young, very playful little guy who LOVES toys and treats! Food time and treat is my favorite!! I came from a place where there were way too many of us and I had to try really hard to get something to eat. I don't get upset when I eat, I just want to eat everyone else's food as well. ??

I love attention and snuggling. I get a little nervous when people try to kiss me, but if you hold still I may give you a kiss! I'm not so sure about little kids, they just don't seem to understand that they can't hold me tight cause it makes me really nervous. ?? The older ones are more my speed.

If you're kinda tall, I may bark at you at first. I always come around after a few minutes if you let me come to you. Did I mention I like treats?? If you give me a treat I'll be your friend!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cashew aka Cash, a Shawnee Mission Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Shawnee Mission, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Shawnee Mission.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shawnee Mission already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shawnee Mission breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shawnee Mission paves the way for another one to be saved.
