Brady (fka Trooper)'s Story...
Meet Brady (fka Trooper)! Brady was adopted as a puppy with his sister Lily (fka Tamara), 7 years ago. Sadly, they were brought back to DHA after all this time when their family was growing more than expected and they would no longer have time for them. As we've gotten to know them, they are incredibly gentle souls who enjoy lounging on a big bed together, keeping their kennel clean and walking nicely with you on walks. They are a bonded pair, so they must be adopted together. With how easy going these two are, it's as if you are taking care of one dog! Why not come in and meet this great pair today? We would be more than happy to introduce you!

We will let you know Brady & Lily are available and able to have applications submitted once you've met. For more information, please give us a call at (302) 571-0111 or visit us at our center (701 A Street Wilmington, DE) Tuesday-Friday 12-7pm or Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brady (fka Trooper), a Wilmington Labrador Retriever/Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Cattle Dog for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Cattle Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
