Fia is a sweet pit bull mix who was found wandering the streets of a local town where we believe she was dumped. She is a very social, friendly girl who loves everyone she meets. She will need to be the only pet in the home. She is learning her basic commands and leash manners while here at the shelter with us. She is a smart dog who learns fast and is eager to please her people. Fia is affectionate and loves to cuddle. At 4 years old she still has plenty of energy and would do best with daily exercise and structure. If you are looking for a sweet dog that is sure to be a loyal member of your family, Fia is here. She is very deserving of a second chance. Stop in soon and meet her!
The Animal Orphanage of Voorhees is a loving place that welcomes 2,000 homeless pets each year. Our shelter is open intake, which means our doors are open to dogs and cats of any age, medical condition or breed. We are a no-kill facility and do not euthanize for space. We are a non-profit organization and depend on donations and volunteers to keep our shelter doors open.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Our orphanage is open to the public Monday-Friday from 12pm to 7pm, with the exception of the second Wednesday of each month during which we are closed for major cleaning. On weekends you can visit our orphans between 12pm and 5pm Saturday and Sunday. We also have some adorable adoptable cats and kittens at offsite locations: PetSmart in Marlton and PetValu stores of Cherry Hill, Marlton and Voorhees.
Our Adoption Process...
All potential adopters must be at least 21 years of age. An application must be completed and can take up to a week to process. Once an application is approved, family meets, dog meets (if applicable) and home checks must be completed.
