My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This pretty Rottweiler is Katy, who came to Kiko’s care along with a Cocker Spaniel following her owner’s move to a nursing home (the two dogs were not a bonded pair, and the Cocker Spaniel has already been adopted). Katy is calm and obedient, although might occasionally demonstrate a little bit of typical Rottie attitude if a correction is given. She is not aggressive but would not be suitable in a home with children. Katy will require an experienced adopter, with breed experience a plus. She is about 5 years of age, is good with other dogs and is also good with cats. She enjoys walks and is very nice on leash, and also likes going in the car. Katy is clean in the house and will ask for the door when she needs to go out. Large for a female to begin with, she weighed in at 155 pounds at the vet, likely due to having been overfed and lack of exercise. Katy has been on a diet since her arrival at the foster home in early September, and should probably ideally have a goal of 130 pounds. If you have been searching for a nice adult Rottweiler to adopt, here’s your chance! Please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website if you can offer Katy the right home.

All Kiko dogs have been examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, dewormed and tested for heartworm (if deemed necessary), microchipped, sterilized, and require an adoption fee of $400 ($275 for senior dogs and $125 for cats) and an adoption contract.
