Cookie's Story...
Cookie #16-400. Arrived 8/8/16 at 3-4 years old.
Cookie is a mush. She is a calm girl, with little interest in toys and a ton of interest in being with whatever friend she has at her side. Cookie loves belly rubs and will slink in submissively to get that belly run in. Cookie is a little concerned about over animation, she doesn't understand games or playing tag or fetch. She does love her treats though and she is very willing to please when she knows that you have them. Cookie shows us that she is very talented in climbing. She climbs on our yard benches and does a cat like balance beam performance on the very top edge of them. We guess that Cookie had a bit of outdoor experience and not so much indoor experience but we know she will welcome the change to be an indoor companion. Cookie has shown a little sensitivity to hearing loud trucks on the street, so that is something to keep in mind for her adopter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cookie, a West Babylon Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in West Babylon, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in West Babylon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Babylon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Babylon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Babylon paves the way for another one to be saved.
