My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chloe is a sweet older kitty. She is 11 years old and just looking for love and a warm sunbeam to nap in. Chloe has had a tough life. Her stubby tail is from a dog attack in 2008 and now her owners have left her with us because they are moving. Through all of this, Chloe is an affectionate cat and cannot wait to find her forever home. Are you Chloe's hero? Come meet this wonderful girl. If you don't see her in the cat room, she may be enjoying the fresh air on the catio, please look for her there.

Chloe is part of our senior to senior program. Her adoption is waived to any adopter 65 years old or older and $25 for everyone else. Please consider this adopting this wonderful kitty.

The application/screening process for potential adopters usually takes about 24 hours except when it falls over a weekend or holiday, and then it may take two or three days. We ask that potential adopters please be patient with us; we are only trying our best to ensure that the homeless pets in our care get the best possible home. All cats and dogs adopted from our shelter are spayed or neutered (as Texas law mandates).

Our adoption fee is currently $70 for non-residents and $75 for residents*.

The adoption fee includes:

spaying/neutering
vaccinations (appropriate to species and age)
heartworm or feline leukemia test (appropriate to species and age)
de-worming medication
microchip (a tiny ID tag inserted under the skin, which allows your pet to be returned to you quickly)

There is a $5 Pet License fee added to the adoption fee if the adopter lives inside the City Limits of Georgetown.

Please visit our website for more information on how to adopt, special events, adoption application, educational and volunteer information.
