Facts about Chip

  • Breed: Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
This darling little boy was dropped in a drop box at a kill shelter. He came with no information or name. So the kind ladies at the pound named him Chip.
Rescue was called because Chip can only see shadows, and he was overlooked at the shelter. Can you believe he was less than one day away from being put to sleep at the shelter?
We saw his picture and instantly fell in love with the little boy. Our vet feels he is about 8 years old. Other than being nearly blind, Chip is in excellent heath according to our vet.
Chip was a little nervous when he came to rescue with the many dogs at the foster home, but he has adjusted well. Chip does not bark, is getting along fine with the other dogs, and getting adjusted to his foster home. He loves for you to pick him up and give him love and to cuddle.
We know it is a long shot, but hoping a family can look into their hearts and give him a forever home. I promise he will be the best boy and you will know unconditional love. Chip is full of LOVE, and I know that he was someone's companion because he is 100% house trained, crate trained, and just so darn sweet. If someone could see inside Chip you would see a heart of sweetness.
He is a quiet boy who loves to be cuddled and warm, and enjoys naps. He has plenty of life to live and love to give.
Please consider adopting little Chip. Adopting a dog who is just a little bit special can be a very rewarding thing to do.
Chip's adoption fee is $100.
We require all of our dogs to be maintained on Heartworm prevention and vaccinated in accordance with your veterinarian's protocol.

About Min Pins & More Rescue, inc- Ohio

About Our Rescue Group...

Our Mission is simple. To rescue Miniature Pinschers who are unwanted, abandoned, neglected, mistreated or are victims of inhumane treatment and then find responsible, loving and lifetime homes. To educate potential owners about the Miniature Pinscher and their special requirements, to ensure an educated decision when selecting the breed. To counsel owners on solving problems to help them keep their Miniature Pinscher. To educate animal control officers and shelter staff on how to identify the Miniature Pinscher and the special requirements and characteristics of the breed to aid in proper evaluation and placement.

Our Dogs are evaluated by a veterinarian for common health issues, are given required medical care, spayed or neutered and microchipped. We screen every applicant very carefully to ensure that they understand the responsibilities involved in caring properly for a pet. Our responsibility is to place our dogs into homes that will best meet their needs, both physically and emotionally. We look for people with patience, loving hearts, and an understanding of a min pin's needs. A detailed application from which we conduct reference verifications and a home visit with all household members present are pre-adoption requirements. A follow up visit may be scheduled at a future date to ensure that everything is working out well for the dog as well as the family. During this process, our pets are safely and lovingly cared for in private, approved foster homes in which we observe and evaluate each minpin for temperament and behavior, continue with the pet's socialization and training, and provide for their physical well being and health.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our dogs are all in foster homes at varied locations, but please contact us via email at and we will be happy to discuss any dog you are interested in learning more about. We are also at Tractor Supply Co on periodic weekends to introduce our dogs to potential adopters.

Our Adoption Process...

Adopting a Friend is the most important commitment humans can do for themselves as well as for the pet. It is a huge decision and one that should never be taken lightly. Understand that the dog you get from us has already lost it's home and therefore our goal is to make this placement final and forever. Pet adoption is a lifetime commitment that we take very seriously. If you are interested in adopting, we ask that you email us at and we will get back to you with our adoption information.
