TRAMP's Story...
Tramp came into our small, rural county shelter on Aug. 12. He is a gorgeous guy, with the cutest little stick up ears! At first he was very shy, but now that he has grown to know and love the shelter volunteers, he turns on a Million Dollar Mega Watt Smile when he sees them. He loves treats and will take them ever so softly from your hand.

We would love to see Tramp in a loving home, with a family to show him people the love and attention he so deserves. If you would like to meet Tramp, please let us know. He is now the longest resident in our small, rural, outside shelter in NE NC & time is of the essence.

Email us or call us at 252-325-3647 if you have questions or would like to meet Tramp. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

TRAMP, a Powellsville Australian Kelpie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Kelpie for sale in Powellsville, or seeking a Australian Kelpie dog from a breeder in Powellsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Powellsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Powellsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Kelpie breeders who help with Australian Kelpie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Powellsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
