MEET FRANZ!!
Franz is a 3 year old male GSD that was saved from the Davidson County Animal Shelter in NC. Found as a stray along with his brother, and scared to death in the shelter environment, we went to assess them and just couldn't walk away even when we learned they were both Heartworm Positive. That's ok, we will do what it takes to get both Franz and brother Hans healthy and ready for a forever home of their own. Thanks to the Miracle GSD Network and their fabulous supporters, we will have the funds to be able to treat them. They have already made their first trip to the vet and been started on antibiotics for their HW treatment as well as for their Kennel Cough.
Franz is curious and fun loving. He loves other dogs and gets along well with the others here at the rescue. When we met him, he was very dependent on his brother for confidence. However, we soon learned that he would pick on his brother in the kennel, making Hans very upset. Now that they are separated, Franz has gained some much need confidence of his own and his wonderful personality is starting to show itself. He LOVES toys and always grabs one on the way out the door to play in the yard. Franz's leash skills are improving and we will be getting him out and about to experience life to continue to work on his confidence.
Franz will be neutered upon completion of his HW treatment, is UTD, microchipped, and on flea/tick/HW preventative. Adoption Fee $400.
