Denver is a delightful, sweet, happy 2 year old male, weighing in at 60 pounds. He likes all people and other dogs. Denver likes to play fetch and especially likes rope balls and squeaky toys. He walks good on leash and knows "sit" and is working on "down" and "shake" commands. He does know his name and will come to you when called.
Denver is a wonderful dog that would make a great addition to anyone's family. He likes to play with his furry foster sister; so would make a wonderful second dog.
He came into Lucky Lab as a stray and was heartworm positive. He has been successfully treated.
Denver is treat motivated and has quickly learned house manners in his foster home. He should do very well in obedience classes.
Denver is neutered, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and is micro-chipped. He is house trained and crate trained. Denver is on flea and tick preventative.
Denver is available for adoption in the Midwest and New England.

About Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption - IN

About Our Rescue Group...

Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption is an all-volunteer, non-profit (currently filing for 501(c)(3) status) rescue organization whose mission is to reduce the euthanasia rates and inhumane treatment of Labrador Retrievers in the Midwest and find loving forever homes for them.

Most labs that come into Lucky Lab Rescue are from shelters here in the Midwest. Most are at risk of euthanasia, usually due to overcrowded shelters. Labs are one of the most popular breeds of dogs due to their loyal and family oriented personalities. Labs are also one of the most overbred breeds and are the number one breed to be found in shelters. They also have one of the highest euthanasia rates. Some find it difficult that rescues can be breed specific, however, Lucky Lab Rescue and other lab rescues make a huge impact on euthanasia rates just by rescuing labs and lab mixes alone.

Our Adoption Process...

Potiential adopters must fill out an application and a Lucky Lab representative will follow up with both a phone and home interview. Our adoption includes all vaccination, microchip, spay or neuter and a heartworm test. Provide additional medical treatments if needed.
