Guinness's Story...
Guinness and his big sister Libby [formerly Cubby] came to us when their Dad found himself in a tough situation. There's nothing more heart wrenching that to watch someone so down on their luck have to then surrender their furry companions. Time was not going to help their situation, at least in the short term.

Guinness is a 9 year old 15 lbs dachshund mix with a big personality. He is shy on first meeting but once he warms up and is comfortable he is a lover. Guinness was raised with small children and loves apples and toys of course. He's also a very smart gentleman and knows commands such as sit, stay, dance, roll over, spin and fetch. Guinness likes to sleep on the bed and will even go under the blankets.

We'd love to try to keep these two together if possible as Libby is attached to Guinness, but if not we would love them to go to homes with other dogs.

Let us know if you h ave room in your heart and home for Guinness and Libby.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Guinness, a Scottsdale Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
