Brutus's Story...
This adorable little guy is ready to play! Young and energetic, Brutus is as handsome as he is fun. He is a little skittish at first but warms up very quickly and in no time is ready to climb in your lap for some love. Brutus is about 1-2 years old and about 10 lbs of adorableness. Someone sadly dumped him on the freeway and it took 3 days to catch him he was so traumatized. Please let Brutus put his past behind him and give him a life full of love and happiness and he will give it back to you ten times over!
Apply for Brutus at www.polkadogz.org Adoption Fee: $250. All adoption fees go to help with the major medical bills of all the dogs in the rescue. Thank you for caring about the greater good!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brutus, a Oakland Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
