Lucy's Story...
Lucy is ready for adoption!
Please meet Lucy! Lucy is a 2 to 3 year old Dachshund mix and is only 7 and half pounds, who is wee wee pad trained and will also go outside. Lucy is currently living with 3 other dogs, and everyone gets along well, but she doesn't meet new dogs well. She does very well with dogs at the vets office. Lucy is your typical Doxie, all bark and no bite. When you come home she greets you as if she is on a pogo stick! She will sit on your lap all day if you let her. There is never a shortage of kisses with her. Lucy loves to sleep under the covers with you, but will sleep all night long on her own bed in your room and not move until you wake her.
Lucy came to us with a broken leg, and with many visits to the vet and a few months of healing time she is finally ready for a home of her own.
Lucy would love to have a fenced in yard to romp in, so that she can chase birds and butterflies freely.
Plese fill in the application on www.JennysHopeRescue.com to be considered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Mount Kisco Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Mount Kisco, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Mount Kisco.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mount Kisco already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mount Kisco breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mount Kisco paves the way for another one to be saved.
