Sophia's Story...
**Currently located at the Petsmart at 3319 N. Ashland Ave.**

Sophia is a beautiful fluffball. She is about 3.5 years old. She is a friendly, confident, easygoing cat. She loves to sit in the window and watch the outside world. Very companionable, she's always happy to play or snuggle. She likes to lie on her back and bat at your hand with her paws (while keeping her claws in). Given time to settle in she will probably turn into a real lap cat. At the same time she is quiet, even-tempered and relatively self-sufficient—a sweet and very easy cat to have around. She doesn't love being in a cage, but she still keeps her regal beauty, even under stress.

Sophia has medium/long hair and loves to be brushed. Her adopter will have to brush her regularly to keep her silky. Sophia would probably do best as an only kitty.

Her adoption fee of $95 includes her spay, microchip, deworming, shots, and virus testing (all negative). For an application, please email alexismansfield@gmail.com or visit Sophia at the Petsmart at 3319 N. Ashland Ave.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophia, a Chicago Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
