Geraniam's Story...
Geranium is a sweet and mellow kitty. At only 1 year old this tabby spent a couple of weeks in a cage in an overcrowded shelter with her only kitten. At only 4 pounds herself, it looked like two kittens were in the cage, but Geranium was working her charm to get out of the shelter and caught a volunteer's attention. Geranium is now over 6 pounds and a healthy and happy cat. She is fabulous with other cats and kittens and is so easy going that she would fit into most any family. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Geranium, please contact her foster Nancy at nancy@teamhumane.org or 419-450-8581.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Geraniam, a Toledo Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Toledo, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Toledo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toledo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toledo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toledo paves the way for another one to be saved.
