Jack is about the happiest boy we've ever known. He came from the shelter in bad shape and stayed in bed for the first 3 days until the supplements started to work. Today he's happy and loves to play. He is on the slow kill heartworm treatment (it takes about 6-9 months to test negative). Other than that he is healthy and active. You must have a rather large toy budget... he adores ripping up toys (hence the knickname Jack the Ripper when he spots a toy he wants to rip). One toy he plays with and does not rip... his little ball which he loves. Jack does mark so he has a belly band he wears in the house (he is very smart and without other dogs in the home he may not mark at all with training). Jack needs a special home where he will be cherished and loved with someone to play with him, possibly an older compassionate child to bond with him and make his best buddy. When making an inquiry please tell us about yourself. Adoption fee is $200.

About Beauxs Haven

About Our Rescue Group...

My name is Kim and I started Beaux's Haven after my beloved Yorkie Beaux died after congestive heart failure this year. Immersed in grief I decided to go and adopt a pet from a shelter... and was shocked and appalled at the limited time these dogs are given before being euthanized. Having visited several shelters I adopt from a high kill shelter, bring them home, adjust them to home life and assess their personality so I can find just the right home for them. My hope is that I can help many people find loving companion dogs. In my area there are many retired people who have the time to give special attention to a pet and need someone to love. I hope to bring joy to each person who desires a special bond with a small dog.

Come Meet Our Pets...

If you'd like to adopt or see a little dog that steals your heart, please call or email to make an appointment to come visit with them and see if this is the companion dog you'd like to make a part of your home.

Our Adoption Process...

An adoption application is required as we want the best home for each dog to be with you for their lifetime. You can fill it out online and it's very short & easy. After this we will contact you by phone if you're a match and make an appointment for you to come meet the little dog you inquire about.

All dogs are indoor pets. A yard and dog door are ideal but understandably not everyone has that and apartments are perfectly acceptable homes too. Regardless of where you live you will need to plan ahead, get a crate for when you go out, dog gates so they can't just run out into the street, and leashes for walks outside. A safe home is essential for pet health and wellness.
