Rocky's Story...
This sweet boy was thrown out of a truck at 5 weeks old with 8 of his brothers and sisters. The man that saw it gathered them up and took them back to his barn where he and his family ran a horse camp for girls. The girls of course went nuts over the puppies and 4 of them went home with campers at the end of the week. They called us to take the last 5. Rocky is sweet as can be and is just starved for love and affection! He has a great temperament and so handsome! We DNA tested one of the pups and mom is a cocker mix and dad is a boxer mix. Rocky turned out looking more like dad. He has the shiniest black coat and white makings show him off. He has had three sets of puppy shots and will be neutered and micro-chipped on 9/9 and will be ready to go to his new home on 9/16. he has not been around cats but at this age, 12 weeks he will be easy to train. If you would like to add this deserving boy his forever home, please contact lorainecm@comcast.net or omlc7@hotmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Harrisonburg Boxer/Cocker Spaniel puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Cocker Spaniel for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Boxer/Cocker Spaniel puppy from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Boxer/Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
