Waylon's Info...

Waylon's Story...
Waylon is a chocolate Lab mix and about 4 or 5 months old. Our little guy was found by someone a few months ago and brought to the shelter. He is a parvo survivor and is now healthy and ready to find his new family. Waylon has yet to meet anyone, human or animal, that he doesn't love. He's the kind of puppy who would fit beautifully into any great, loving home. His temperament and disposition is off the charts, and he is very smart and eager to please. Waylon just wants acceptance and to be loved. If you are looking for an amazing puppy to add to your family, Waylon is your boy. We invite you to come to CARA and meet this love.

Waylon's adoption fee of $250 includes all of his vetting (neutering, shots, etc.) plus the fee for the transport to PA.

If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to to fill out an online adoption application.

Breed identification by visual means is unreliable for most dogs. We are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. Each dog at CARA is an individual and we do our best to describe each animal based on personality, not by breed label.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Waylon, a Palmyra Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Palmyra, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Palmyra.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palmyra already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palmyra breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palmyra paves the way for another one to be saved.
