Zoey is a great little girl full of love and intermittent spunk. She was found in a bad neighborhood dragging 10 foot of chain with her. It was clear from her emaciated and battered appearance that she had escaped from a very bad existence. All Zoey needed was food and love though to bounce back to a picture of health and now we have to watch her food intake so she doesn't get too chubby. Zoey likes other dogs and is good with cats as well. She is about 40 pounds and 1.5 years old. She will make a great family pet or a BFF for a single person. She will be fine alone while her human works so long as there is plenty of play and snuggle time each day.
The Bullock County Humane Society Animal Shelter houses dogs and cats that come to us mostly as strays. We have 20 dog kennels and 6 cat cages. We are a rehab, rehome, low-kill shelter. We network with rescues, market our animals online, and conduct off-site adoption events to give our residents the greatest chances of finding loving homes. While the animals are with us, we focus on keeping them safe, healthy comfortable and enriched. All of our cats get daily communal play time and our dogs get individual or partner play time in large outdoor play yards every day for anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours at a time, weather dependent.

Our Adoption Process...
All adoptions are approved on a case by case basis. The shelter manager reserves the right to deny anyone the right to adopt any of our animals. Adoption fees also vary from pet to pet based on factors such as age, health, breed and temperment. Cat fees range from $50 - $60 and dog fees range from $90 - $123. Occasionally we will have reduced adoption fees for a variety of reasons.
