Lucy's Story...

Lucy is a 16 month old Blue Nose Pit Bull Terrier who is searching for her forever family.  She is a sweet pittie girl  who is very well trained in her basic commands and so much more. She's a pro snuggler, loves tug and can take walks with you for miles and miles. Lucy previously lived with smaller dogs and also plays perfectly with larger dogs or dogs her size. If you have a dog we would need to have them meet. We are not certain how she will be around cats. Lucy will need to go to a home with kids 12 and up only due to her strength and the potential to knock a child over when overly excited. We prefer an active family who can spend lots of time with her and continue positive, reward based training. Lucy is currently being fostered in Ocean County, NJ. If you would like to meet Lucy please email laura@sugarskullpittierescue.com. She is 55 lbs, spayed, current on all shots, microchipped and HW negative. Her adoption includes a Freedom harness which she walks on beautifully. Lucy looks forward to meeting you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Ocean American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Ocean, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Ocean.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ocean already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ocean breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ocean paves the way for another one to be saved.
