Autumn's Story...
Meet Autumn and her sisters! These adorable girls found themselves left at a pet store where there was lots of food and super nice people! They are a bit shy at first and then the kisses come in full force! They have the look of a plott hound with their beautiful brindle coats and black faces but their little feet tell me they will stay much smaller - more around the 25-30lb range. They will be ready to go by the end of August when they will be 12 weeks old and fixed.

Please note that we are a TX based dog rescue, so all of our dogs are located in TX until we have an approved adoption application. We work with Rescue Roadtrips, Safe K9 Transports, and Pet LLC to transport our dogs to their new forever homes upon approval of adoption application. The reason we do this is because TX is a high-kill state and we are over populated with unwanted, but wonderful and loving dogs, and finding homes outside of TX helps us to save more lives. Our adoption fee for out of state is $355 ($170 adoption and $185 transportation).
Thank you for considering adopting a southern dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Autumn, a Olympia Whippet/Plott Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Whippet/Plott Hound for sale in Olympia, or seeking a Whippet/Plott Hound puppy from a breeder in Olympia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Olympia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Olympia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Whippet/Plott Hound breeders who help with Whippet/Plott Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Olympia paves the way for another one to be saved.
