Dempsey's Story...
Dempsey is a Boxer. She is young (appr 2-3 yrs old) housebroken, crate trained (although she greatly dislikes it), she gets along good with other dogs but cats are also unknown as we don't currently have any. She likes to chase squirrels though. But when in the house she is a lover and a half although going right along with the Boxer reputation she drools like there's no tomorrow, if you are interested:
Feel free to contact New Directions Animal Rescue @ 586-329-0468 or on our Facebook page @facebook.com/NewDirectionsAnimalRescue. All vaccination's and spay/neuter included in adoption fee of $300

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dempsey, a Detroit Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Detroit, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Detroit.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Detroit already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Detroit breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Detroit paves the way for another one to be saved.
