My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sadie the Sweetheart Is Ready for her Furever Family

3-year old, female, Belgian Malinois Good with other dogs: Yes Good with children: Unknown Good with cats: Unknown Such a sad beginning to Sadie’s life. At only three years old, she was dumped off at a shelter in California with a male Belgian Malinois and another female. It was obvious she’d been used for breeding and then discarded soon after she had puppies. But that doesn’t matter to Sadie, she’s ready to start a new life with her furever family. Sadie is a pretty mellow girl for a Belgian Malinois. She’ll still need an active family that can keep this intelligent breed stimulated both mentally and physically. But by all accounts, she’s very laid back and seems to get along with other dogs. We’re unsure how she’d do with kids, but being high energy, she’ll likely need a family that is patient and can teach her what love really means. She’ll need further training, but does seem to walk fine on a leash. This girl is very smart and eager to please, so she’ll do fantastic in obedience classes. As always, if you are interested in a Saving Paws dog, you must fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application! All staff members are volunteers and aren’t compensated for their time and expenses. Many juggle family and full-time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be patient as sometimes it takes up to 5 days to process an application.
