Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello there! Thank-you for clicking on my profile, I’d love to meet you. Let me tell you a little bit about adopting me.
My name is Milo and I am a 6 month old Shih Tzu mixed male who came to the awesome people at NBS Animal Rescue when my family could no longer take care of me. The kind shelter workers reached out to NBS Animal Rescue and my foster mom came and picked me up lickety split to make sure I had a warm, safe, and loving foster home to transition into.
Let me tell you a bit about me. If you clicked on my profile then obviously you find me irresistably cute. I am also incredibly sweet! My foster Mom says that I am one of the most well-behaved puppies she has ever met. Of course I do all the things that normal puppies do...chew on things that are left on the ground that may I shouldn't have or occasionally have a potty accident in the house. But I LOVE kids of all ages. I love other doggies to play with. I love all people! I am even good in my doggie crate during the night! I am happiest spending time with my people, exploring a fenced yard, playing with toys, and learning new things. I am doing well with learning how to do my personal business outside, and my foster mom says that I get to visit the doggy doctor Sept. 8th to get neutered...whatever that means.
While I am not quite ready to go to my fur-ever home just yet, I'll have to recover from the doggy doctor visit of course, but my foster mom and dad are taking adoption applications for me now. If you think that you might be my perfect fur-ever family, please see the information below.
My friends at NBS Animal Rescue are helping me to find the perfect fur-ever home. All of the dogs in our rescue are have different personalities and needs within an adoptive home. Not all of my friends here at NBS Animal Rescue have the same requirements, so if I’m not be the perfect fit for your family- be sure to check out my other doggy friends too! For me?
These are the things I fur-sure need in my fur-ever home!
- Family who is gone no longer than 5 hour periods.
- 100% fenced in yard preferred or family with a plan in place for multiple daily walks each day.
If you think I might be the perfect addition to your family please follow these steps:
1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out my adoption application. As an approved adopter, my rescue friends can set up a home visit so I can meet you. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, to help your application be processed as quickly as possible, please make sure to….
2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pet’s veterinary history.
3.) Call your references too! Let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number, and a rescue team member will need to talk to them on the phone as a reference.
My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. If you’d like to meet me, please apply online and to become an approved adopter!
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative , spayed/neutered (unless a documented medical reason is on file with your veterinarian). Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.
While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and are ready to apply, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family just yet. However, would you please help by sharing my picture on Facebook, twitter or by email? I'm a great pup and need a loving family to give all of my love and puppy kisses to! Thank-you for your help!
