I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Gidget's Story...
Meet sweet and sensitive Gidget! This mild-mannered canine has an adorable stub of a tail and she just weighed-in at a solid 40 pounds, so we think she may be a Heeler mix. Gidget has a slightly imposing appearance, but she's actually shy and submissive, and hungry for love and attention. And you can bet that with the love and security of a caring, forever home, Gidget's playful personality will quickly blossom. If you have room in your heart and your home for this gentle and deserving 4-year-old, please text (985) 351-6938, for more information, or just stop by the Adoption House and ask for Gidget. The Adoption House is open weekdays 11:30-5:00 and Sat/Sun, 11-3. All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gidget, a Baton Rouge Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog breeders who help with Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
