Facts about Buddy

  • Breed: Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier Mix
  • Color: Brindle
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
I am a small (40 lbs., knee height), young (less than two-years old) but full grown, handsome, brindle pit-boxer mix looking for a forever home.

I was so eager to find a great home that I followed my foster family home about five months ago, and despite all efforts to find my owners, no one came forward.

They have shown me true (and sometimes tough) love, but I have proven to be an incredibly smart and loving dog.

Likes: snuggling, snoozing, TREATS, belly rubs, searching for squirrels and birds in the bushes, and playing fetch

Dislikes: the cold, my kennel unless I have a Kong

No one is perfect, right? Well, I love my foster parents so much I can sometimes freak out when I see other dogs when we go on a walk. I love my foster sister, a hound mix named Hattie, and the dogs on the other sides of the fence, but I get overly excited when I see other dogs on a walk.

I promise I’m making efforts to be better on a leash – and obedience classes have taught me to heel, sit, stay and down, but my forever family will want to continue with regular training to be sure I remember my manners.

What’s a typical day like? During the day, I’m used to staying in a crate while my foster parents are are work, but when they get home I love to roam the house and go outside. At night, I curl up on my bed on the floor, but sometimes I like to hang out under my foster parents’s bed like it’s my own personal fort.

If you’re looking for a sweet pup and are willing to continue training, I’m your Buddy guy!
