Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Charlie is a most unusual looking guy. He is 65 pounds and about a year old. Our best guess as to breed is Lab/ Plott Hound mix. His foster family reports that he walks well on leash, loves to snuggle and give kisses. He likes cats - especially licking them. The cat seems to know he means no harm and tolerate him. Charlie loves to run in his back yard, doesn't bark much, and his favorite thing is to chase the ball. Sometimes, he even brings it back :-) He is friendly to other dogs but seems to have a special place in his heart for the small dogs. He is also friendly to people he meets and lets them pet him. He sits and extends his paw to shake. Of course , he is a young dog and would benefit from some additional training. Because he is a big guy with an unknown background, Charlie would do best in a household with adults or a family with children over 8 years old.
(An adoption donation of $300 is required.) If you are interested in adopting this dog, please email CHEW Dog Rescue at pawsontherun@gmail.com and ask for the adoption application form. If you have previously submitted an application form, there is no need to re-apply. Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations, before being placed in their forever homes.
