Apollo's Story...
Apollo is a very special approximately 3 year old German Shepherd rescued from Miami Dade Animal Services (MDAS). He's fixed, UTD on shots, and chipped. Apollo is friendly across the board. House/kennel trained.

Apollo is a very shy quiet boy with a gentleness about him who prefers to spend time in his kennel. Given his shy nature Apollo would do best in a home with kids 8+ who understand how to love him, but give him his space too. Apollo NEEDS a home with a confident dog to bring him out of his shell. He feels much more comfortable in the presence of another dog. According to the vet Apollo will probably need eye drops for the rest of his life for a potential immune issue that causes dry eye. He may also require entropion (eyelids roll inward) surgery which LARC will be responsible for financially.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Apollo, a Loxahatchee German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Loxahatchee, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Loxahatchee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Loxahatchee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Loxahatchee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Loxahatchee paves the way for another one to be saved.
