Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Smokey is a great dog. Very friendly with dogs of all sizes and friendly with cats, but will chase them if they antagonize him, but has never harmed one. He is a very active boy who is high energy - so LOTS of play is required and activities. He does however love to sit in laps and give kisses and getting better at learning manners. He is very intelligent and very food and treat motivated, so easily trainable. He likely went some time without a reliable food source, so inhales his food when it is time to eat. In time this will get better as long as he knows he is loved and will be fed. He is crate trained and has no issues with going into his crate and staying in it, even if the door is just pushed shut and not latched he'll stay in it. Smokey is a very loving and caring boy that would do best in a home where there is plenty of family doggie activities. If you are interested in sweet Smokey please go to http://www.southernskiesrescue.org and complete the pre-adoption application.
Due to his high energy he may be best suited for a home with children with good motor skills, as he may kiss them to the floor. But he truly is a great dog that just needs to be given a chance to share all the love he has to give!
