Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I figure this is my time - to relax, be with my family and have a normal life. - Candace Cameron
In sweet adorable Cam Cam's case truer words could not be spoken. Cam is a 10 month old (there about) Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix with a beautiful medium brown coat and gorgeous amber eyes. She currently weighs 25 lbs and will probably be around 40 lbs full grown. Her story starts out like so many others. Abandoned, unwanted, unloved she ended up in a southern high kill shelter, which was better than starving on the streets. Things got better for Cam when she was pulled into rescue and placed in a foster home. Things got even better when someone pretty far away wanted her. Her story should have ended happily there. Unfortunately, halfway through her journey, they changed their minds because they were not happy with her size and age. Soooo Cam made the trip back. We are happy to report that she is a GREAT little travel companion! Her foster mom says she needs a little help getting in but then she's ready to hit the road. We can also tell you that she has done wonderful with her house and crate training, foster mom reports no accidents. Cam is great with kids, other dogs, cats, and....chickens! She is a bit nervous around big dogs initially but within 10 minutes she is comfortable. This precious little girl is super sweet and affectionate. She loves to give hugs and puppy kisses. Cam sees herself as a lap dog but will politely wait for an invitation to jump up and cuddle. She is a very responsible youngster (with a little help from her rescue) so she is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. Cam has already had quite the whirlwind experience in her short little life so it is definitely her time to find a SERIOUS forever home with a family she can have fun and then relax with. It's her turn and her time to have a normal life as a normal happy well loved pup.
