Gazelle's Story...
This whimsical female raised her six kittens and is now enjoying being a kitten herself. She will greet you with great enthusiasm whether you were gone for 10 minutes or 10 hours. She loves belly-rubs and claims attention, or she may just lay in the window to study the outdoors. Gazelle is a great companion to young children and always ready to play. She enjoyed the daycare in her foster-home, adding a special touch by greeting everybody who entered.

Gazelle's adoption fee is $40; she is microchipped, spayed, and up to date on vaccines. Some of our pets are in foster care. If you are interested in a specific pet, please contact the shelter at (618) 939-7389 to arrange a meeting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gazelle, a Columbia Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
