Harley's Story...
Harley is my name – playin’s my game!!
Hi everyone – Harley here. I was very lucky to get saved recently by Needful Souls Dog Rescue! My foster mom likes to call me Harley Davidson – like the motorcycle. I have no idea what that’s all about but it makes her laugh and that makes me happy so I’m cool with it. Let me tell you what they know about me so far. I am SUPER good with other dogs – I love to give them kisses and play and play! I am somewhere around 5 months old, which my foster mom says is a perfect age to adopt because I’m not a crazy baby puppy but still have tons of personality and you can help train me and mold me to be a good fit for your family. I like toys and bones and am very loving. I weigh about 20 lbs now so I’ll probably be 45+ pounds when fully grown. I’m a lab/hound dog or cattle dog mix and I have the tall lanky legs that are so crazy at this age. I haven’t been in my foster home long but I have only had a few accidents in the house! I don’t have accidents in my crate at all. I am learning about crate training and not to make too much noise in there. I do pretty well on a leash and like to go for walks. My foster mom thinks it would be great if I was adopted by an active household that isn’t gone much and that has a fenced yard and maybe even another dog for me to play with – that would be awesome!! My foster mom says I'm super special and a great little guy - you'll think so too, I hope!! Harley is neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on his shots. He is housebroken and crate-trained.
Adoption fee applies!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a Baltimore Labrador Retriever/Blue Heeler puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Blue Heeler for sale in Baltimore, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Blue Heeler puppy from a breeder in Baltimore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baltimore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baltimore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Blue Heeler breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baltimore paves the way for another one to be saved.
