Here's what the humans have to say about me:
IDGSR welcomes Millie into the safety of the rescue!!!
Millie is a beautiful German Shepherd who is 4 yr. old and came to the rescue as an owner surrender from an older couple who could no longer care for her. She is in a foster home with a volunteer for the rescue who is also a dog trainer and he has written a wonderful description of Millie:
" Millie is very sweet, a little timid, good with other dogs, very loving with whomever she bonds with. EXTREMELY smart. Has had some training, but I've taught her a few new things that she picked up almost immediately. Self-crates and enjoys crate-time. The only issue that needs work is that she fear barks. When meeting a new dog or a dog she isn't comfortable with, she barks to push the dog back and create a buffer. I believe this is at least partly due to the recent changes in her life with losing her home and family. She's become much more comfortable here in the week we've had her. I think she'll be a fantastic dog when her life stabilizes again. She can be pretty active, but also enjoys her quiet/couch/crate time too."
If you would like to make sweet Millie a part of your family, please copy the link and fill out an application.
