Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mason was almost unidentifiable as a dog when he arrived at Animal Control. He was very matted and as we groomed him, we discovered that he had a wound on his side that turned out to be a gunshot wound. Poor little fellow has buckshot along his spine, which makes him walk a little wobbly on his rear legs, but he gets around fine.
That was not the only problem Mason had: he had a condition called dry eye, and could not see much because of all the goop in his eyes. But wait, there's more, he also had a lump over his left eye which turned out to be associated with that eye, which had to be removed. Mason has survived all that abuse and neglect, and still wags his tail and is affectionate with us humans. Mason will need medicine in his right eye to treat dry eye. This will cost about $10 per month.
Mason has adjusted very well in his foster home and has learned to use the doggie door, navigate the home including climbing stairs to the second floor. He gets along well with other dogs and will be a fine companion for most anyone that has room in their heart and home for this special needs guy.
Mason has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. His adoption fee is $250.00.
