Angel's Story...
"Hello, friends. Are you looking for a quiet little sweetheart who's heart is full of love? Well, look no further. I'm your girl. The shelter staff named me ANGEL for obvious reasons. I'm a five-year-old Chihuahua, and I've been completely quiet during my stay here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter. I'm a bit overwhelmed, but I'm starting to come to the front of my kennel when people come by. I spent the first couple of weeks just hanging out in my doggie bed, because it seemed like a good safe spot. I'd be a wonderful family pet and a loving companion. It might take me a little time to get to know and trust a new person, so please give me a chance. I have a gentle soul, and I know that once you spend some time with me you'll want to keep me in your life forever. I've been house trained already, and I get along well with everyone, whether it's a person or another dog. Let's spend some time getting acquainted out in the play yard. I hope to see you soon. Love, Angel"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Angel, a El Cajon Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
