Hello, my name is Katy, and I am 13 years old and weigh a little under 9lbs. My Dad is sick and can no longer take care of me, so he is wanting SCMR to help me find a forever home,

 

I like to sit close to my foster parent on the couch or beside her in her chair, and I follow her around the house when she is doing chores or cooking.  I like to stay close by because I am nosy, and I don't want to miss anything!   I like to play with my stuffed toys and love running 'turbo' through the house.  Since I play so hard, I do enjoy my naps!  I love going on short walks on my leash, and I like riding in the car!  I'm house trained and like to be let out a lot during the day in my fenced yard.  I walk to the back door when I am ready to go out. 

 

When I run in my backyard, my ears flop in the wind.  I go to the spa every month to be groomed and my vet said I am in excellent health for my age. I have no diagnosed medical/health conditions, and I don't take any medicine except for a heartworm and flea prevention med once a month. 

 

 I am looking forward to finding my forever home with someone who can spend a lot of time just hanging out with me.  I've never lived with another dog before, so I think I need to be the only pet in my new home. 

 

Until then I will be living in Wilmington, NC until my new family comes to get me.
