Sapphire is a sweet friendly little girl. All she wants is a home of her own and someone to love which is something she had until recently. Even though Sapphire is just a perfect little lady, she is neat & tidy and loves attention, she was dumped. That is right, dumped. Employees at a local shopping center watched as a car drove in, opened the door, and tossed beautiful Sapphire into the parking lot and drove away. SCA was notified and within just a few days we had located her hiding place and took her away from the dangers of living in a busy parking lot. We estimate that she was born about September 6, 2014.
We have also discovered that Sapphire does not like dogs or young children so it would be best if she did not find a home with either of them.
Sapphire has tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, has been dewormed, and is up to date with all her shots. We also went ahead and had Sapphire spayed. She requires a home where she will never be declawed, or allowed to go outside.

Hi, my name is Sapphire. I'm a young girl wrapped in a beautiful tortoiseshell coat. l'm currently living at the Petco on 610 in Stafford, VA. I've been here for a bit and it's starting to take its tole on me. Sometimes I may come off as a bit temperamental but that just isn't true. When Shadow Cats Advocates first rescued me I lived with the founder and was as loving as could be. But there's a lot of noises and commotion here and I'm not really a fan.
You see, my life was uprooted one day when my former family pulled into a shopping center, tossed me out of the car and drove away. It was hurtful and scary for me. I was so small and alone in a big unknown world. I guess I'm still healing.
Thankfully though, I found my way into safe hands. Now I'm just waiting to find my forever home.
I know I need a patient heart to love me. When your world is sent into a whirlwind it's a process to learn to trust again. I bet the first time you had your heartbroken it was a challenge for you too. But then someone came along and loved you right and your walls came down. If you open your heart you'll come to see all I need is a right love. A love that won't throw me away for anything. A love that will love me through hard times and show me that people stay. If you open your heart, my walls will fall too. And if I had one wish for Christmas that's what it'd be; an unconditional, patient love and a calm home that will keep me safe forever.
